The journal Arqueologia is currently looking for new associate editors to help with the logistics of running the journal. Mostly, these are students but this is not a requirement. This is a volunteer position (as are all positions at the journal). But, it can be a good way to learn about how journals function, to make contact with new colleagues, and to express your opinions regarding the journal. If you are interested in learning how journal publishing software works, we will be happy to teach you.
The main work will involve communications (sending standardised emails) and searching for potential peer reviewers.
We accept volunteers who can communicate in at least one (but preferably more) of the languages of the journal (Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French).
If you are interested, please contact the editor, Otis Crandell. (crandell@ufpr.br).
Best regards,
Otis Crandell
